Lead Brass

Category: Brass

Specifications
Details

Lead Brass is a copper-zinc alloy that contains a small percentage of lead, typically ranging from 1% to 4%, to improve machinability without significantly affecting corrosion resistance or strength. This alloy is widely known for its excellent free-cutting properties, making it ideal for high-speed machining and precision components.

The lead content acts as a lubricant, reducing tool wear and improving chip breaking, which makes it especially suitable for automatic lathes and CNC machining.
